Caretaker
Retreats Group are looking for a Part-Time Caretaker to join our team. You will work alongside our current caretaker to maintain the cleanliness, safety and presentation of our hotel and wider properties. This role combines routine tasks with hands-on, practical work that keeps our buildings and grounds running smoothly for guests and colleagues. £12.71 per hour Hours: 10am to 6pm, three days per week. Weekend availability is essential.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Window cleaning, including washing down frames and downpipes
- Pressure washing and treating terraces
- Checking and clearing gutters, flat roofs and drainage outlets
- Managing waste and recycling areas
- Putting up flags, parasols, artwork and Christmas decorations
- Carrying out visual checks of plant rooms
- Cleaning extractor fans, shower traps and fly killers
- Maintaining door and window ironmongery
- Caring for oak and limestone floors, including oiling and polishing
- Supporting the Events Team with setups
- Helping Housekeeping and contractors move or protect furniture
- Completing small internal decorating tasks
- Ensuring all public and back-of-house areas across the properties remain clean and tidy
- The role also includes reactive maintenance such as changing lightbulbs, adjusting fittings and unblocking drains, along with other tasks that may arise.

Requirements:
A full UK driving licence, as the role includes driving the company van Ability to commute to St Davids or willingness to relocate Availability across a seven day rota, including bank holidays and key seasonal periods
