Kitchen Porter at Blas Restaurant

If you take pride in keeping things spotless, running an organised workspace, and supporting a busy team behind the scenes, you’ll fit right in with us. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, committed Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen brigade — someone who works hard, stays calm under pressure, and understands that great food starts with a clean, efficient environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Cleaning and sanitising all food preparation areas, walls, stoves, sinks, ovens, and grills
• Keeping the staff break room, waste areas, and recycling zones clean and tidy
• Sweeping and mopping throughout the shift and at close-down
• Washing dishes, utensils, chopping boards, and cooking equipment
• Ensuring mixers, cookers, and other equipment are in good working order
• Receiving and unpacking deliveries
• Emptying, washing, and re-lining bins as needed
• Keeping fridges, freezers, and storage areas clean and well organised
• Assisting the Chef with basic food prep — washing, peeling, cutting, and measuring ingredients
• Following all fire, hygiene, health & safety, and food safety regulations
• Maintaining consistent company standards and procedures

• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
• Excellent time management and the ability to stay focused during long periods on your feet
• Reliability, resilience, and pride in doing a job well
• Flexibility to work across 7 days a week, including weddings, events, Christmas, New Year, Easter, school holidays, and bank holidays
• Willingness to take on other reasonable duties as needed
